Case Study: The Outrun
“
We will be sure to reach out to you with other projects in the future!“
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
– Rohina Canerin-Perera, Producer, Brock Media
Key project wins:
- Curating over 6,000 stills into a manageable selection of just under 2,000 images, with the best shots included for cast to approve.
- All talent approvals complete within 14 working days of us receiving the images.
- Images organized into Killed and Approved folders for both RAW and JPG formats, along with a complete set of reports.
Their pain:
- With limited time for approvals to be complete and over 6,000 images, the production team knew the actors would not want to go through them all for approvals.
- Alongside the RAW files, they also had JPG images which needed to be organized in an easy-to-navigate way.
Our solution
- We provided a full audit of all stills submitted by photographers, in order to ensure all files were correct and accounted for.
- Before the images went out for talent approval, we provided a first pass of curation to remove duplicates, out-of-focus, unnecessary, unflattering or otherwise unusable shots.
- As a result, we reduced the initial image count from 6,000 to just under 2,000 stills.
- Once the cast completed their approvals, producers were able to mark their Selects to give a final working set to deliver to distributors.
- We then sorted everything into digestible folder structures and delivered them to the client in Killed, Approved and Approved Selects folders, as well as a copy of the full kill reports for reference.
Timeline:
Sept 6th – Original images received.
Sept 8th – All images organised and online ready for cast to approve.
Sep 19th – Cast approvals complete and producer Selects marked.
Sep 25th – All images organised and delivered to post-production team.
